Buying notes outside your own geographical area is not a safe bet. I do not recommend buying outside your own state, let alone outside the country. Your ability to do the required "due-diligence" or protect yourself in case of default are very hampered by the distance. When you can't do the work or easily verify it yourself, then you open yourself up to fraud or the incompetence of others. It just isn't worth it. You CAN find great deals in your own market with little risk.
