New In the Business

I am new in the business and I'm just looking for advice. I don't have any mentors, although, I need one/some. In other words...HELP!!! I'm trying to learn this business on my own through research. I went to a seminar, but the training was extremely expensive. Any advice? I am currently trying to build my funding source list. Have any tips, sources, etc? I am very thankful to have found this forum. It is very helpful. Thanks to all and God bless!
