There is some kind of new virus or viral marketing that "spams" newsgroups with advertisements. It became extremely excessive a couple weeks ago and I no longer had an interest in spending my time deleting messages.
I took the forum offline in hopes that it would cause the spam to discontinue. We'll see if it worked. It seems to go after older messages that are listed in search engines. If it comes back, then I will disable the ability to post responses to the older messages. That has worked in another forum.
Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused. If it frustrated you, go find a spammer and let them know your feelings.
So, for now, the forum is back up and you are free to post messages and responses.
