The person you spoke with is wrong. Only telemarketing calls trying to sell you a good or service is covered. Surveys, pre existing business relationships, surveys, charitable organizations, can still call. Since your not trying to SELL anything you should be fine. Thats probably why post cards and letters work so well, cause if they are interested, they call YOU.
