finding sellers

I recently bought Every Profitable Note Finding Idea in the World (almost) and did my share of research and learning. I am not having much luck actually finding notes to buy. It's one thing finding people who hold notes in real estate (that's easy) but actually getting people to sell the notes is a lot harder. What should I be doing to get some sales in my pocket and actually be making money?
I'd appreciate any advice
