Realistic yields in the current note market

The video course mentioned very good yields, but it is several years old. Please tell me what yields could a person achieve in the current market? Also is there still a market for the individual note buyer or is the area saturated? Do you fill that the sources you listed in the video course are still viable sources to find notes or should some be eliminated? If some should be eliminated which ones? I am retired and I'd like to invest in some notes to achieve retirement income. Thank you for any information you provide.
