calif licensing

I've reviewed many web sites on discount note brokering, and your site is the only site that someone responded by answering the Calif. licensing question honestly. What is a person to do with all the information aquired by books, seminars,tapes which cost a small fortune and then find out that One would still need to study to get a license in Calif. in order to legally use the information to broker notes. I'm dissapointed in the Pros who knew and wouldn't mention that "you should check your state to see if you need a license. All I've heard was you don't need a license to do this. What YOU meant was "IN YOUR STATE" wherever you wrote your many books.
