QUESTION:
Since most people trying to sell property FSBO eventually end up listing with a realtor, would it be possible for a seller to list their real estate in the MLS pool (for a flat fee) BEFORE listing with an agent...as an adjunct to their original FSBO effort?
This may or may not be state law specific (I'm not sure). Several months ago I heard about a man who was doing this with a realtor or agent in NC. The agent / realtor charged FSBO sellers a $500 fee for the MLS listing alone, whereas the man received a 25% referral commission.
We have yet to explore this particular sales aid for our own needs and would like to find out more.
ANY information greatly appreciated.
