a real estate broker's fee is negotiable between buyer and seller. Broker then shares part of the commission in multilist with broker who brings forth a buyer. if you are too cheap with the compensation percentage then the agents won't show (and sell) your property.
the listing broker make take a flat fee for his side of the transaction.
